Tongue Twister

A fun way to show that keeping the city clean isn’t that hard after all.

Client

City of Vitória, Espírito Santo – Brazil.

Role

Art Director, Design, Concept.

Challenge

The City of Vitória identified an increase of garbage in the city streets. A reinforcement in the cleaning team was made available, but it wasn’t enough. It was necessary to make the population aware of the need to dispose of garbage in the appropriate place.

Solution

In theory, the solution is very simple – if the population doesn’t make the city dirty, the cleaning will be more efficient.

Our approach was to show in a light and funny way that there are things more difficult than disposing of trash in the proper place. We used a Brazilian tongue twister “Casa Suja Chão Sujo” (Dirty House Dirty Floor) to prove our point. Have fun watching people trying to say it without success… lol

The campaign also featured printing ADs, social media campaign and stickers on the trash cans. A “Lixômetro” – a garbage meter was installed in a square in the city center to display the amount of garbage that the cleaning team collected in that area, on the same day.

Small Stuff

Worrying less about daily stressful situations can prevent heart disease.

Client

Hospital Metropolitano

Role

Art Director, Design, Concept, 2D Illustration.

Challenge

Studies suggest that high levels of cortisol from long-term stress can raise the risk of heart disease.

Solution

These stressful situations can be small frustrations that we face every day – like poor wifi signal, for example.

The idea was to use a blowfish that puffs up when under stress, to represent the harms that daily stress situations can cause to people.

Proper disposal

There is life after recycling.

Client

City of Vitória, Espírito Santo – Brazil

Role

Art Director, Concept, Storyboard.

Challenge

The city of Vitória invites the population to the “Feira do Verde” (Green Fair) and warns the society about conscious consumption and the correct destination of residues.

Solution

The film shows in a playful way that we can give our trash a second chance if we dispose of them properly. By giving each package in the film a face, they come to life and walk around the city showing the different ways we can properly dispose of waste until it can be recycled and transformed into a new product instead of thrown into the environment.

Casa de Apoio Aura

Role

Art Director, Concept, Storyboard.

Challenge

Casa Aura is focused on humanized reception and assistance to children and adolescents with cancer, hematological diseases and transplants. The family doesn’t have to pay anything for it and all the money for the service comes from donations.

We then needed to communicate the importance of the donation for this cause, with a client that does not have any investment for advertising.

Solution

Just as all Casa Aura’s money comes from donations, we were able to advertise in Belo Horizonte’s public transport media for free.

The idea was to create a similar environment, connecting the support that everyone needs to keep standing on the bus and the support that the children with cancer need.
